Mersea Road Clinic is pleased to work alongside RH Counselling Service Ltd, an independent counselling and psychotherapy service based in Colchester.
We understand that physical health and emotional wellbeing are often closely connected. Pain, injury, stress, changes in health and difficult life experiences can all affect how we feel and cope.
For patients who feel they may benefit from additional emotional or psychological support, RH Counselling Service offers a confidential and non-judgemental environment in which to talk, reflect and work through the difficulties they may be experiencing.
Counselling is a form of talking therapy that gives you the opportunity to discuss your thoughts, feelings and experiences with a trained professional.
Rather than telling you what to do, a counsellor can help you better understand what you are experiencing, recognise patterns that may be affecting you and explore ways of moving forward.
Counselling may be helpful if you are experiencing:
You do not need to wait until you have reached crisis point before speaking with someone. Counselling can also provide space to understand yourself better, work through a particular concern or receive support during a challenging period.
Sessions may be available:
Online and telephone counselling may be particularly useful for people who find travelling difficult, have limited availability or feel more comfortable receiving support from their own home.
