You
will then normally be asked to remove some of your clothing and
to perform a simple series of movements. A full examination routine,
including Osteopathic and Medical diagnostic tests, will be used
to determine any areas of weakness, strain or inflammation in your
body.
All Osteopaths
at our clinic will then discuss their findings with you and explain
what is causing your pain. They will use models and pictures to
ensure you understand what has happened in your body to create the
discomfort. At this point the Osteopath will give you an indication
of how many treatments you are likely to need and how long those
treatments will take to improve your condition.
The Osteopath will then be able to explain his treatment plan to
you and proceed with the treatment. At the end he will give you
advice and exercises to perform at home between treatments so that
you can aid your own recovery. The Osteopath will be happy to answer
any question at any point during the consultation or afterwards
over the telephone. We would rather explain something so that you
do not worry or irritate your injury at all.
